Since Jude left I love the fact that Nel's love for her
children has grown because some mothers can not stand their children after the
father. Also Morrison comparing her love to a bears love is genius. Nels fear
of letting go all her love for the fear of smothering them shows another trait
in Nel that no on ever saw. I would like to know exactly why Nel went to visit
Sula. I would have left her to die because she betrayed me and lost the trust
that we did have so why would I give her my time. I agree with Nel that Sula act like a man which she can not do because she is a women. Another thing is Sula loneliness is hers which I can understand because she never really had something that was hers as a child. Eva house, where Sula was raised, people would come in and out of the house like it was their. Sula just wanted something that was only hers. I hated the explanation Sula gave to Nel for the reason she slept with Jude because it did not explain anything. It is a shamed that Sula was thrilled to see her mother burn. Sula was honest about the way she felt. Sula finds peace in a boarded up window is it to remember how she watched her mother burn or something else. She find peace in her illness but she dies anyway which is ironic.
